The armor he wears is experimental, light as a feather military armor that Wayne Enterprises is developing for a military contract. It could be Kevlar or something stronger, I'm not exactly sure what it is. Remember in the original film when the thugs shoot Batman and he just keeps getting up and coming after them? You can't do that with spandex.

i am a batman fan boy
but that doesn't mean i wont like the film
looks to be the best once since batman returns

but just look at these

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">AGREED!!!! see to me Batman has one of the coolest costumes but this new one doesnt look cool to me.

I like that cowl, but the rest of the costume would have me in total disbelief once he faced down his first gang with automatic weapons.

i agree on how practical to new costum is and how armor is a must
i just feel it coulda been executed better
